We are pleased to announce the successful completion of an extensive structural restoration project at a distinguished condominium community in Southwest Florida. This significant undertaking reflects our unwavering commitment to safeguarding the integrity and longevity of our client’s properties, even when faced with the most challenging circumstances.

The project commenced with a Phase 1 milestone inspection, during which our team identified damage that warranted a more comprehensive Phase 2 inspection. However, before the Phase 2 inspection could be carried out, Hurricane Ian struck the region, complicating the situation and intensifying the scope of the project.

In the aftermath of the hurricane, the Phase 2 inspection revealed additional structural damage that had previously been concealed. This newly discovered damage included compromised concrete columns, beams, and elevated slabs, which required immediate attention to ensure the safety and stability of the buildings.

Velocity Engineering Services took the lead in preparing the permit specifications necessary for these critical repairs. We worked in close collaboration with the Association’s contractor, who was already engaged in post-hurricane restoration efforts, to ensure a seamless integration of our repair strategies.

Throughout the restoration process, our team maintained diligent oversight and provided quality assurance inspections during the construction. Our dedication to excellence ensured that all repairs were executed in accordance with the repair plans and specifications prepared by Velocity, effectively restoring the structural integrity of the buildings.
